The general public is able to see all articles that have been classified as being publicly visible and validated so by Moderators.Other articles may only be visible by those with special access. Return to new NAAIDT Online - User Guide
The Section Moderators:Moderators are nominated by the Site Administrator and granted the required permissions. Moderators authorise submitted items to be viewable by Validating them using the Validate tick box that appears at the bottom of their screens. The Site administrator:The Site Administrators are established as the new NAAIDT Online is set up initially. In addition to being able to moderate aritcles, Site Administrators set up user permissions and assign Moderators. Site Administrators are also able to nominate an item as a Featured Article or the Lead Article for each section (note that deleting a Lead Article from the Lead Articles listing does not delete the article itself – it just removes its lead status). Each section can have only one Lead Article and it is these that will always appear in full at the top of a section when chosen – all other articles will appear in order of popularity. Sections can be assigned several Featured Articles however, and these appear in the right hand column as: title, summary and summary image.
