Other articles may only be visible by those with special access.

Return to new NAAIDT Online - User Guide

  • Moderators must validate all content before it can be seen by anyone other than the submitter and Moderators. The Moderators do this by ticking the Validated box that appears only on their screens.
  • All contributors are able to Edit any of their own submissions but any changes made will automatically recycle the article through the moderation process and it will not be visible until validated. To facilitate edits by contributors, a prompt to ‘Show all my articles’ appears on the Search page for all logged in users.

The Section Moderators:

Moderators are nominated by the Site Administrator and granted the required permissions.

Moderators authorise submitted items to be viewable by Validating them using the Validate tick box that appears at the bottom of their screens.

The Site administrator:

The Site Administrators are established as the new NAAIDT Online is set up initially.

In addition to being able to moderate aritcles, Site Administrators set up user permissions and assign Moderators.

Site Administrators are also able to nominate an item as a Featured Article or the Lead Article for each section (note that deleting a Lead Article from the Lead Articles listing does not delete the article itself – it just removes its lead status). Each section can have only one Lead Article and it is these that will always appear in full at the top of a section when chosen – all other articles will appear in order of popularity. Sections can be assigned several Featured Articles however, and these appear in the right hand column as: title, summary and summary image.
